It is 1030 pm on a Saturday night. I am watching Ed very closely. [;)] He has 1,999 post and might be making his 2000th right now. [:p] I have been "tracking" him for the past few days and watching his progress. [;)]

But THE TIME has come to "HONOR" his work. [:)] His posts have been read by many and his knowledge compared to an 8 million watt light. How illuminating. [:D]

He is joining a very elite crowd of one--the feline Mookster. [;)]

Well, this snuck up on me....

Glad I could provide entertainment for you all.

Like Kevin said, it isnt the end of the journey that makes it worthwhile, its what you learn on the way thats forever invaluable.

I have learned more from the people here than I first thought, and hope to keep on learning.

Some of my points of view have changed, and quite a few new concepts have opened up before me, all due to the fine people who vist here.

Things I was sure were engraved in stone turned out not to be, and things I never heard of turn out to bedrock knowledge for you guys.

I learned that Quinton knows more that he thinks, Kevin is learning english,
HER keeps Kevin level, Mookie is a real cat, Jen is a chocolate cake junkie, who is a lot sharper than we will ever know.

I know what bfsFab means, and yu will have to ask Lowell yourself.

Dan comes from my hometown, right down the street, Jim(planes) spends most of his time in? Planes!!!

We have teachers, engineers, conductors from every class one, house wives, and working moms.

If you see Joe, Matt is right next to him, always.

Ironhorseman dost always agree, which is good a good thing.

Ricky Gates learned a hard lesson, but took that lesson, and made something good out of it.

We got Aussies, a Brit or two, someone from Argentina, and a few from Germany.

The crowd from Canada.

Not too forget Oliver in Croaita, a place most of us cant spell, much less find on a map, but we all know him, because he comes here too.

All races, all ages, both sexes, and just about every religion are represented here.

I even think we let a Unihead or two in here.

Some of us are retired T&E employees, and a lot of active duty railroaders.
We even have a mudchicken, and if you dont know why he is one, well, ask him!

This is one of the most diverse groups of people I have ever seen on a forum.
Usually, forums are built around a small group of people, almost always with the same educations and backgrounds, from the same walk of life.


But look at us, a real Heinze 57 kinda mutt, Loco and otherwise.
There is a Indian Princess somewhere around here too.

And that, folks, is what makes this place so fun, whch is why we all really come here anyway, yes?

We all like the way trains look, and how they sound.
We even like the way they smell, (well, on the outside, anyway)
The mystery of where the rails really go has all of us hooked.

So really, thanks to all of you, for making this more fun that anything else I have ever done with my clothes on.

But instead I will just say congratulations and if it hadn't been for your nudge in my backbone, I would have never gotten to one star let alone 5. Thanx to you I opened up a whole new world to enjoy!
