Alaska RR Ansers

First let me say thanks for the many ansers about a RR connection to Alaska.I have spent many hours reading them and have only made a dent.My eyes were opened as to how very big and exciting a progect like this would be.The amount of people and things affected is truely staggering.Just a few of the thing mentioned: coal, oil, minerals, missile defence, pacific rim trade, ecological, shorter to eastern Canada and US for Asia trade,The Yukon,BC,The CN and CP and something close to the heart for many,The Ride.If such a thing ever happens it would be compareable to the first trancontinental RR or the Panama Canal in its effect. When I asked the question I thought it to be a small, simple question but it is truly a very big and complicated question with some very big impacts.Again thanks.
