Yreka Western Railroad - Videos
Posted by Train 284 on Thursday, June 19, 2008 12:36 PM

Hey everyone,

I finally got the chance this year to start volunteering for my favorite shortline railroad, the Yreka Western. I am currently a brakeman and I am really enjoying myself. I thought I would just share a couple videos I took a couple weeks ago. I know they are a diesel, but our steam locmotive, the 19, is still being put back together after its FRA inspection. It should be readyby this or next weekend we hope.

Some of you may know the 19 better than you think. She played the starring role in Emperor of the North.

Links activated.  I actually have a Yreka Western Boxcar for my HO scale layout.  It always makes folks ask "Where is that?"
