F45/FP45 paint schemes - BNSF what if
Posted by Lyon_Wonder on Monday, May 12, 2008 11:16 PM

If BNSF or it's predecessors BN and ATSF didn't retire their cowl-body F/FP45s back in the 80s and 90s and kept them on the roster long after the merger, would BNSF repaint them in regular Heritage H1 or H4 since they technically didn't have a safety cab, or in premium H2 or H3 since they did have a wide nose?

IIRC, there's a website where someone painted an Athearn blue box F45 in BNSF H2.

I certainly would have liked to see an H3 painted BNSF F45/FP45, but I am only dreaming.
