BNSF 4560 has blue nose door
Posted by Lyon_Wonder on Friday, February 29, 2008 9:29 PM

Recently, BNSF 4560 has been spotted with a nose door from what I guess would be a Conrail GE engine.  Notice the letters AIL and ITY.  Conrail never had Dash 9s on their roster.  So the nose doors on the wide cab Dash 8s, 9s and maybe GEvos must be identical.

Been that way since at least December 26, 2006.

Pasted photo snapped 2/16/2008 and posted at LocoPhotos.com with a copyright notice.

Wonder what happened to the original door?

This reminds me of some pictures I saw a while back of CSX locomotives with "CCSX" and "CSXX" on the sides. The same result of a door replacement.

Long live the BNSF .... AND its paint scheme. SchemerBob

I think someone though it was funny to switch the doors.

Here's the other door. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=225439

Looks like black spray paint to me.
