Cool Internet sites for trains.com users!
Posted by swknox on Thursday, January 22, 2004 4:07 AM

To Mr. Mark Hemphill or any other trains.com staff and or mag... I would like to see a section on trains.com that would give cool internet sites to visit that is supplied by the forums users and or staff members from Kalmbach. I know there are a "Links" section on Trains and MR but I would like to see the other cool sites that are listed in the Mags and talked about on a forums. I know this might seem hard to do but there has to be away. Some cool sites for my fellow forum users to check out if you have the time and some of the sites I'm refering to... For Microsoft Train Sim free downloads ... www.train-sim.com or www.railserve.com/computers/msts or www.alabamarailfan.com is another... to see another real train site goto http://crcyc.railfan.net/mow/misc/mwmisc.html to see MoW equipment in operation or just http://crcyc.railfan.net/ to see a conrail cyclopedia... this is some of the stuff that I'm refering to and maybe you or another forum user can help. Here is some more "cool" stuff www.trainweb.org/peninsularailfan/index.html to see some great pics and some Former Conrail now NS in action plus a shortline that still uses Alco's to power trains. www.ole.net/~rcraig/MPR.html which has rosters for Class 1s and regionals railroads. Anyway I hope someone sees my point although I hope I'm not being a pain in the you know what. I love the forums and I think eveyone deserves a pat on the back for such a great site but I think this would be a great addition to it.
Thanks
