U.P. Blair Subdiv. Nebr. Photospots.
Posted by Bob-Fryml on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 4:55 PM

I need to burn some film in my camera, so I'm thinking about heading out to the Union Pacific's Blair Subdivison this weekend, between the Missouri River and Fremont, Nebr., to capture a few images.

Can anyone recommend some good photo locations?

Also, is the prevailing traffic pattern westbound thereby suggesting an afternoon outing rather than morning?

Almost all traffic on the Blair Subdivision is westbound. Unfortunately, that's about all I can tell you as I haven't done any photography along the line.

U.S. 30 hugs the line fairly closely, usually to its south.  The bridge over the Missouri River is fairly spectacular, but I suspect that the U.S. 30 bridge is too close to it to permit good shots from downstream.
