Coalfired (aka Dennis), this is not the way to start posting here. If you want to make a joke, make sure it doesn't offend anyone on these forums. I know Jim H. for some time now, and he is a good person who shouldn't become a subject of such a joke. If you didn' t mean any harm with your joke i suggest you apologize to this good man and we leave all this behind us.
Have a nice day.

Thanks Alex, Kevin, and Joe [:)]

If he meant no harm then no apology is needed. Let's just forget it and move on. After he has been in the forums awhile he will understand the family aspect and the joking we do. And then he will understand and become part of the family. So let's not have a family fued. Just a nice big family dinner. Now pass the rolls, please.

Remember everyone, when typing it's difficult to convey sarcasm. Please read your posts before you post them. This thread is a good example of how a joke can be misinterpreted.

And I encourage everyone to use the Reply to Topic link to post your replies to a post (as opposed to the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread). The Reply to Topic option gives you the opportunity to use the smiley faces. While some find them annoying, they can help portray sarcasm and other expressions that simple typing cannot.

Thanks everybody,
Erik

Simple typing can convey sarcasm, you just have to do it right...

Usually a ; - ) or j/k , or "you know what I mean..." suffices.

Please everyone use the emoticons!! It *will* (Notice the accented word there? another one) help convey your meaning!

Bigger, heavier, happier, faster. Still a quadruped, but he's working on that.

I'm pretty sure he said "cat" yesterday...[:O]

He said "Mookie!" - what an adorable child! Smart, too!
