I'm not sure about a Flying Scotsman in HO, but I would agree that tender drive locos are crap runners in general, especially the Hornby A1/A3, I hope you're not trying to draw me into that 80 year old chestnut - GWR v LNER , cos I'm a North Eastern Railway man myself, and I did'nt think that anyone stateside would understand me when I said my favourite loco was a Worsdell unsuperheated P3.
