Yes, The Rock Island was a mighty good road(like the song Said). They had bad management. Good management would of exploited their strenghts and <br />offset their weaknesses. For example, The Rock had the best route from <br />Kansas City to St. Paul. UP still uses the line. UP upgraded the Tucumcari <br />line. They never exploited whatever atvantages they had. <font color="red"></font id="red">
