I would like to see the inside of that cab and engine. Anyone know the type of locos that would be used there?

In the US there are some "things" that must be done by the engineer before a locomotive can be moved under its own power. Those of us who are railroaders know what they are and usually don't discuss them with nonrailroaders for just this reason.

I am guessing that overseas they don't use the same "features" that are used here or the lady probally would not have been able to move the locos and train.

Even a streetcar left unnattended would have the reverse key kept my the operator. With the doors shut of course and brakes aplied! The only way an accident could be causes then would be if the streetcar was on hill and the perpetrator did the following:

Pulled the pole of the wire

Reached under the car and opened the air exhaust valve on the air tank

Somehow managed to clear the car before it started rolling.

Does anybody know if this kind of incident ever happened?

Wouldn't work with modern light rail equipment, but possibly with some heritage line. I would hope I am not giving anybody reading this thread any idea, since i doubt anyone reading this threat would risk his own life. Or El Quada are you there?

Yeah, SJ! And if you had been "upstairs" you wouldn't have gotten that bruise, right? [;)]

That's true - I wouldn't have backed it either. Full speed ahead!
