The 2100 is headed to WA. <br />Yes it is fully operational.Once it arrives in WA it will be put back in service. <br />The red you see is a large reflective decal we had made up so the engine would be noticed on the crossings.Also I see on other forums they say we had problems <br />steaming this locomotive since it was changed over to oil NOT TRUE.There was only <br />3 of us up in the cab on the test run after the conversion and it ran very well. <br />Also we do not use bunker C oil ,only # 1 heating oil is used.Just to bring this Locomotive up to steam costs about $ 7,000 ( labour and material ) <br />I have worked on many steam locomotives but this one I enjoyed working on the <br />most, put alot of time on this one.
