Mr Thomas, I hold a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Granted, I am not an railroad engineer per say, but a lot of my projects had to deal with moving heay objects from one place to another, so. I used track. <br />I would have loved to have been one of the engineers who laid track through these Rockies, but I was born too late. I live directly across the Colorado River from the original track beds. <br />I have no idea how bad it was for these people to lay these tracks, all I want to do is preserve them. I am sorry folks if I have annoyed a few of you, but, ***, if I can prevent these tracks from being pulled up, and sold for scrap, I will do it. <br /> <br /> <br />
