I had a conditional job offer from BNSF for a conductor's job at the yard in downtown LA (which although I love the BNSF, I was not real thrilled with the prospect of working in downtown LA). Unfortunately there was a paperwork error on BNSF's part (nothing to do with Modoc) and the job offer fell through because there was not enough time to fix the paperwork before I missed the scheduled training class [:(].

So for the time being, I work as a conductor for the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Railway Company (http://www.ACWR.com/) in central North Carolina. Although my current employer is pretty good, hopefully I'll have another shot with BNSF down the road.
