NEW - Wisconsin Illinois Frequency List
Posted by kschmidt on Thursday, September 8, 2005 12:42 PM
Greetings,

I have occasionally seen posts here from people looking for railroad frequencies. I would to introduce a new resource for looking up railroad frequncies for the midwest.

This page features a list of frequencies alphabetically by railroad, also if you are riding an Amtrak train it shows list of frequencies for several different Amtrak routes. Also there is a listing using some familiar railfain "HotSpots".

So check it out to get your railroad frequency information.

Also I am hoping that people will check out the information and submit any corrections or additions to the listings.

Sorry about that. The link has been repaired. I guess I can't type as well as I thought.

I see the IC&E frequencies are the same on that website as the ones I have programed.

I haven't heard ICE's radio at all for a couple months so I think they've got a new frequency.I've checked a few websites and they don't have any info on it.I guess I'll play it by ear from now until I figure out what's going on.

We used that list to listen to ICE just a week and a half ago in Davis Jct. on the way to Rochelle so the list should still be good. ICE just doesn't talk much i guess.

I forgot that I "L outed" the channel way back because it was interfering with the BNSF channels while I was scanning all my channels and it took til today to remember what I did.[:p]

This really is good Keith, thanks much. I got to remember this the next few times I need frequencies, now I don't have to ask on the Wisrail list all the time.
