Wisconsin Steam Excursions

Are there any planned in the Milwaukee area around say...August 7-9th?

I am not aware of any Zach. There will be steam this weekend in Madison WI
on the Wisconsin & Southern.
Moreover the Kettle Moraine steam train is closed and the railroad museums in Green Bay, North Freedom and Union IL are not running steam this year.
You might want to visit the automobile museum in nearby Hartford WI because that is where the Soo Line 1003 is kept. I suppose there is a tiny chance they could have it steamed up, but probably not running.
Not steam but the East Troy Trolley museum has rides behind classic trolley and interurban cars.
