Thank you, Bruce, for vindicating our decision to go home from California via the direct route. I'd been thinking we'd have enough time to go at least by way of Portland, but my wife wanted to get home faster (so we took the Southwest Chief, which dropped eight hours between Needles and La Junta).Speaking of which, could you send some of that wet stuff down to eastern Colorado?
