There is no serious talk in Texas by responsible citizens about succeeding from the union. </p> <p>The United States, as well as most other countries, has always had a lunatic political fringe. Mercifully, they have never been more than a tiny fraction of the population. I don't see anything today that leads me to believe that any mainstream Texan is in favor of succession from the United States. This discussion has gone off the rails big time. </p>
