<p>Quentin...A portable hard drive connected by USB is definately the way to go. My wife has one on her computer where she places all her geneology research, old family photos etc.</p> <p>No power adapter necessary...just plug it in to your computer tower and she fires up when you fire up your computer.</p> <p>And should anything happen to your computer...simply disconnect the portable drive and you can move it to a replacement computer.</p> <p>Hope this helps.</p> <p> </p>
