Two separate car-train accidents involving the same train happened on Sunday afternoon in Floyd County, with two people being taken to the hospital. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department says 20-year-old Cole Leitch of Forest City was southbound about a mile west of Rudd when he failed to yield at a railroad crossing, with the vehicle being struck by a westbound Canadian Pacific train.

In the second accident the driver and a passenger had to be removed from their car with the jaws of life and were then transported to a hospital.
Nothing is known about the driver or any other people involved in the first accident because the driver left the scene of the accident and has not been found.
