Trainfest 2011 TRAINS Forum Annual Gathering
Posted by kschmidt on Monday, October 31, 2011 9:07 AM

Greetings,

For the past several years members of TRAINS.com and actually all of the Forums that are supported by Kalmbach have come together at Trainfest in Milwaukee for a Face-to-Face gathering.  It gives those members a chance to put a face with an avatar or sign-on name.

The group has usually met at the Kalmbach publishing display at Trainfest.  So lets try it again this year.

I'm at Trainfest both days pretty much all day with my model railroad club.  So the time and date are adjustable but this can be a starting point.

Lets says we meet again at the Kalmbach Booth at Trainfest on Saturday November 12th at 12noon.  Again this is flexible.  Lets see how we do this year.

Below is the photo from 2010.  If you see yourself Thank You.  We were also joined last year by TRAINS magazine editor Jim Wrinn and Mike Yuhas Advertising Sales Manager.  So again the invitation is open to any TRAINS staff member to JOIN IN !!

The MORE the MERRIER !!

More details on the location of Trainfest, please!  It might actually be doable this year.

....Like the photo of what looks like a pleased and happy group in the Trains.com / Trainfest photo.

Pretty little girls up front too.

And we see Jim in the background.

Correction:  Young man  in red....My error.  Sorry.

Yes it was quite the Rogue's gallery.

Just a note the kid in red is a young man.

I am bumping Keith's post as a reminder and further invitation to all Forum visitors to come to the Kalmbach booth at noon Saturday, meet other forum members, and pose for the now-traditional group photo.  See you then!

We have made our plans; hope to broaden my circle of Forum members met in person.  We're also going to visit Angela and pick up a couple of copies of the new Trains4Kids (I was able to spread the first issue around a little bit).

Also, I think I'm too sick to attend this year. Dang it to heck!!!!!! I was looking forward to seeing the group.

November  is just a cheap warm up to the main event.   I live in the Icebox of Iowa, and it is far colder here than most of that area along the lake in Wisconsin.

I never drink water. I'm afraid it will become habit-forming.
