Folks —

Trackside with Trains.com is taking a vacation. It'll be back with a brand-new theme before the month is out; watch this space for details.

Ha! Not yet, Carl; that's next month. I'm "on assignment" (read: having fun riding trains) in the French-speaking portion of that big country to our north, eh?

Sounds like fun.  Pass on a message to someone - send the WC GP40s from British Columbia back to Wisconsin where they'd be appreciated.

Hey - maybe you could swing down and pay us a visit on the Adirondack Scenic, too!

Now that sounds like a great time! Unfortunately, the focus of the story is waaaay to the northeast of you. Nor can I have any say on CN's WC GP40s, as the railroad in question is completely isolated from the U.S./Canadian rail network. Hint: If you're picturing orange and gray diesels hauling long taconite trains, you're on the right track. The correct answer is scheduled to be published in the 2-2012 issue.

Carl:

If that is the case, It is called 'imprinting'! Hmm

Something to do about locations, roundhouse or ready track?

If such is the case, Andy.  Early congratulations!  Big Smile
