Andy Cummings joined the TRAINS staff as associate editor in November 2006, and edits the magazine's news and locomotive departments; he also oversees TRAINS News Wire. Andy is a native of Rochester, Minn., and holds a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in print journalism from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Before joining the staff, he edited a small-town weekly newspaper in northern Minnesota and worked as a freight conductor for the Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad out of Waseca, Minn. Andy currently lives in Mukwonago, Wis., with his fiancee, Sheryl, and their border collie, Scout.
