That squares with some of the other comments as well as some of the videos posted on line.

Wow!

Your heart has to go out to the injured, and to little Benji's parents.

The aftermath of this incident and its ramifications will be widespread and not over for some time.

The media has re-posted the operator's blog and internet forum postings.  I'm sure they will all be brought up in the lawsuits, etc.

Bottom line:  WATCH WHAT YOU POST.

I know I've cut way back on what I will type about anymore - it just isn't worth it.  Sucks, but it is what it is.  My days of talking about any kind of experiences out here are over.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

The mentioning of the train driver's "alleged" posting is found on page 4 of this article: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20110322/ARTICLES/110329923/-1/topic0323?p=1&tc=pg

In summary, the person who posted on an unnamed railroad buff forum mentioned in December 2010 about working on fixing some issues with the tracks and the brakes of the train.  This person also mentioned that the ride "allegedly" has not had any significant maintainance investment since 2002.

In terms of being careful of what one posts, I think when you start talking about the business inwhich you work or volunteer for, there's a tricky line to follow between what is appropriate and what is not.  It's probably best not to talk about what you do at work on a work-related forum.
