Ed DeRouen passed away
Posted by ndbprr on Saturday, March 6, 2010 8:52 AM

Noted author and Trains contributor Ed DeRouen died last week following a very short struggle with a form of cancer.  We in the Chicago chapter of the PRRT&HS had the pleasure of having him attend our meetings on numerous occasions.  He was both a nice and knowledgable person about Chicago railroading and our keynote speaker at our annual national convention last year

We heard the sad news at last night's Wisconsin Div. National Railroad Historical Society meeting in Fox Point.  Ed was a familiar figure at railroad historical society events.  I found a picture on the internet for those who might know him only by sight, not name - scroll down about halfway through this page.
