My dear old dad used to describe a high velocity personality as "busier than a one-armed paper hanger with a head cold! Now that is graphic.

Well, Mr. Love, there is a www.bnsf.com website, if your interested.

Mookie-you wouldn't happen to have been around a nuclear test site, would you? All of those "extra" body parts make me wonder....[:D][(-D]
Naw - not any more - Hallam that has now disappeared had a nuclear plant, but they took the nuc out of it and now it just eats coal. But if we ladies put our mind to it, we can do just about anything.....don't forget that....[:)]

Should I say "peace" again, or is it time to drop the whole thing?

Well, we are back, and we had a ball in Lincoln and elsewhere on the trip. Put 3000 miles on the car, visited ten states, met Carl in IL and Mookie in NE, saw plenty trains, and were chased by thunderstorms. Nice to be home but I think I'll be ready to go again in a week or so (too bad my bank account won't be!).

I'll post more about the trip later this weekend -- we just got home yesterday and we've still got a lot of unpacking to do!

Hi Mookie:

Your weather went through here (WV) last night, but we're still standing - not much sleep though. Our canine family representative was 90 pounds of "quivering courage" under the big table in the living room all night - he just don't like it when it thunders, etc.

So far we've ducked all the heavy stuff - it's all stayed in the southern tier and south.

My trusty NOAA weather radio keeps me up on the bad stuff, and will always wake me when it goes off. By then, though, my other warning system - a 35 lb Sheltie mix - has whined me awake. Then she hides somewhere until it's over, all the while willing me to make it go away.
