There was an article in the Cedar Rapids paper a few years back about a storm that caught motorists returning from a late Iowa football game in the early 1920's. It was cold. The roads were not paved. It was not cold enough to freeze the "pavement" solid.
Some took shelter in farm houses over night and got pulled out the next day by horses. Others waded the mud to the CRANDIC to get home.
Why were cameras not allowed in the stadium? An age of stupid rules concocted by idiots (ie bureaucrats) is upon us.
