As cool as those videos are I'd rather have a crew focused on safely doing their job. Police away.

That's the thing, though. Maybe they were focused. Hell, if I'd set up a camera, I'd probably forget about it until the end of the shift when it's time to gather up the stuff and bail off. I'm still not sure how a camera mounted distracts the engineer. Besides that, the conductor may be on single track for a while and not really have anything else to do. Staying busy with a camera might help keep him awake at least.
