Railroads do run special trains to the superbowl.Csx even bought 1 million dollars worth of superbowl(also laid off a bunch of people)tickets. So it is train related. As for the other incident to quote a shakesphere play title"much ado about nothing"

Dang, I didn't know this message would generate so many negative replies. I respect the opposing side's opinion, of course, but I personally don't see anything wrong with straying from the main topic on a messageboard unless there are posted rules forbidding that. I too saw many other topics on this board dealing with subjects other than trains. (And yes, though I am a newbie here, I have also posted about five posts so far that were solely about trains.)
I personally don't care much for Justin Timberlake and the teenybopper scene he represents, so I actually had my eyes closed during the "big event"; waiting for the next act to come on or the new commercials to begin (since of course the Super Bowl is the only time of year when you actually WANT to watch commercials). But dang. I could hear that something had happened, but I didn't know it was Janet Jackson actually bearing part of her ***. I don't know if it was accidental or not, but I would agree it was done in very poor taste. The sadder thing is that it's now the media's--and the public's--flavor of the week, something which makes Paris Hilton seem like Florence Nightingale by comparison.
In 1963 they were asking, "Where were you when JFK was shot?" In 1986 they were asking, "Where were you when the Challenger exploded?" In 2001 they were saying, "Where were you during the terrorist attacks?" And now in 2004 they'll be asking, "Where were you when Janet Jackson flashed the Super Bowl?" Pretty tacky, huh? I often wish I was born 50 years earlier so I could have seen some positive, and moreover REAL news.

But anyway, I'd say she had a GGG Scale layout down there. But of course they were plastic. ;)

Don't worry about it, no one is mad at you, there has been a dual standard on this issue at this forum for quite some time, if anything, I think you did more good with the post, than bad. The people who have historically used the argument to have their way, will have to think twice now before doing it again, we can always cite "superbowl thread" policy, and have you to thank for it..[;)]

I agree, but as a curio, why does the possibility of this thread continuing bother you? are you a cop or something??

The only reason why I ask, is because in essance what you are doing is saying "hey, you shouldn't be having this discussion, guys" Which is kinda what this thread is all about in the first place. I chose to speak up because it seemed like a nice neutral subject to voice an opinion on "game play" here, that I've wanted to bring up for quite some time. A rule that's a rule only when conveniant is in fact a form of bias, which I thought was frowned upon in this society.

I've talked about the Super bowl all I cared to, and was pretty much talked out on the thread. Until I read your post going back and doing the same thing we were talking about in the first place.

I think you are a nice guy, and enjoy reading your posts and do not want to make you angry. But couldn't help myself but to point out the irony between one man trying to stop a thread, and one man trying to stop a thread....[banghead]

I saw the "grade crossing" thread you mentioned, and know what? it seemed like it got silly after a while, was of no interest to me, so I simply stopped following it. As some guy said earlier, I can always find another thread to read, if this one doesn't interest me.

This one did interest me, not because I cared whether this guy posts about the bowl game or not, I can always skip the thread. But it seemed an approprite opportunity to touch on the issue of uneven gameplay.
