For anyone out in the Minneapolis area:

I live in Edina and would like to know the number of trains a day and time of day (or around) that the TCW trains come around Hwy 169 and Excelsior Blvd.

Here's a link that may be of help:

As far as the times go, it's difficult to say.  The St. Paul Turn goes on-duty ~ 7 AM Monday-Saturday.  I've seen them rolling through Dayton's Bluff in the late morning and early afternoon.  It'd probably be best to get a scanner and listen-in on their road frequency.

Looks like a interesting line to follow. I my opinion, the CAT powered engines they own make TC&W a interesting railroad that I wouldn't mind seeing, plus they have quite a nice paint scheme. I may be heading to the Twin Cities next summer for a vacation, mainly to go to spots such as Northtown and seeing the MNNR, but the TC&W looks like it is worth attempting to see.
