Hi, I have just been given some primex 3 rail track with loco and rolling stock. However being new to the hobby I do not know the ins and outs of the 3 rail system. Can anybody help me with what kind of transformer I need? and how is the track wired.
Thanks

Primex is the same as Marklin 3 rail. You'll need the proper Marklin or Primex track and a Marklin or Primex transformer. These are AC not DC like 2 rail trains. There should be a diagram or directions on the transformer for the wiring. The center rail is powered by one wire and the outside rails are powered by the other.
