Why not check and see if Lionel has a blueprint? Most companies generally do. Look up there whereabouts on the computer, then either write or call them and see if they have one, and can you get a copy? I did something along the same line, years ago, for another product, that was made now almost 50 years ago. The people I talked to couldn't believe that I was asking for a blueprint to what they manufactured way back when...but I got the blueprints. ralph zimmer
