MSTS Links

  • I received MSTS for Christmas - love it.  Reading through many posts, etc. I see that there's lots of links available for downloads, etc.  I thought I would start this post where people can post their favourite links...any hopefully, with lots of help we can create a virtual 'library' of MSTS links.

    Here's a couple I've found so far....

Microsoft Home site for MSTS - still active...

    www.microsoft.com/games/trainsimulator/

    Comunity of stuff...

    http://www.train-sim.com/

Maple Leaf Tracks - company producing downloads (I purchased the Niagara Corridor - CN Dundas Sub - quite good).

    www.mapleleaftracks.com/

Downloads available right from CP official website  (mainly created by Maple Leaf Tracks - its how I found their website).

Any other contributions would be great.

    Happy New Year to all...

    Thanks.

  • Actually, Maple Leaf Tracks has a dedicated forum and download site for MSTS at www.mltdownloads.com.  You do have to register, but that doesn't take long and it is free.  There are a lot of high quality add-ons there, but be warned that a bunch require a shape file from a MLT product.  Still, there are a bunch that don't.

And don't overlook the Canadian Pacific Railroad official site.  They have a bunch of free downloads for MSTS, including a free version of MLT Kicking Horse Pass.

www.alabamarailfan.com is also good for some stuff.  Check the links at train-sim.com for other less travelled sites.

Very good stuff. This is where I have gotten all of my locomotive add-ons.

    Thanks for the other resources.

  • The railserve stuff is really dated compared to what is out there now.  Only the Bodiddly Railroad (Ohio Rails) Route is keeping this source a go to.  All the other stuff is really old.
