Does anybody know of a Train Simulation game that has a multiplayer feature, like the one in Flight Simulator X? I know Trainz 2006 does but it isn't all that fun... Thanks in advance!

Have you tried Sid Meiers' Railroads? It is actually a strategy game rather than a simulator but it is a lot of fun competing with other people head to head to manage and progress your full railroad. There is a huge user community out there as well making various mods such as new maps, locos, etc for the game.

I've been interested in multiplayer trains simulations for a while. I didn't know there were any.

How does the Trainz multiplayer work?

As far as I know, none of the Trainz games support multiplayer. I've had the original, 2004 and 2006 and don't recall any sort of multiplayer capability. To get multiplayer in a railroading game, I believe your only options are Railroad Tycoon 2, 3, and Sid Meier's Railroads.
