Can a Laptop Play Auran Trainz 2006 and the new trainz driver or can it not

that's all i have and it runs fine slow some times in spots 

my laptop is an hp with xp and vista i like to play trainz 2006 on road trips

it all depends on the hardware configuration of your laptop.example ram,video card,hard drive.also never get a laptop or desktop pc with the minimum specifications that is written on the box in the game under minimum system requirements,always get the recommended requirements as this is far better than just the bare minimums,i should know,i also have a laptop and even running microsoft train simulator that was published in the year 2001 dosen't run great,so i use my desktop that has twice the minimum specs to run the game.

You will need an uber laptop to run big games. I run a desktop I built myself and it can just about provide acceptable performance. I used to have two laptops, neither of which provided satisfactory performance during "Down time" gaming.

There are games coming out within two to 5 years that pretty much strains my computer and I will need to upgrade or build once again. The time frame between new construction and eventual obselence is getting closer and smaller each passing year.

I recall games made for the 486 platform that ran well and did pretty good compared to what today's arcade type no-brainer games. Thinking about it a bit more, I see some video games today that brings computers to thier knees with bloat, blingage and other unneccessary shiney and weighty chrome because they can.

There is a difference trying to land a 747 in a storm in FSX deluxe under another person's tower control over the internet. Things like that tend to take machines to the max. Single player computer games like Trainz are alot of fun, some even worth keeping forever. But alas, they run in retail for a time and then gets pulled in favor of the next and newest game.

I hope that the future games like the second generation Train Sim carry on  and improve where previous games have left off.

I worry that the march of the VISTA along with the forced pull of Microsoft's XP will render our current machines inoperable. I really hate the thought of wrestling with drivers, incompatible hardware etc

I can not get Trainz to instal properly on my New Laptop of PC.

I requested help on this forum (GOT NONE).

TrainZ's web site. After filling in a very long tedious questioneer nad being dumped several times and having to start all over again.

I received a reply from Trainz's computer E-mail answering machine with and incident #.

It was 10 pages of FRQs. none relating to my question.

I filled out the long tedious request for help again after clicking that the responce was NO help.

Post your laptop specs here on this thread I will evaluate what they are and see where there might be a problem.

Run>

Should have a small entry box come up. Type "Dxdiag" and hit enter.

Wait a few minutes, a big dialog box should pop up, save all information and copy/paste to this thread so i can see exactly what the problem if any is.
