How do I use path editor to create a service

I tried to use the activity editor. In path editor, i tried to mark a start point. However MSTS automatically seems to determine its own route, sometimes, straight into a dead end siding. I try to right click on the nodes to try and alter the route, or choose a different end point, but path editor doesn't respond. Can anyone help? Is there any guides as to how to use this tool effectively?

You need to right click. You will get a menu to change the switch, set reverse points, etc.
You may try www.3Dtrains.com, User Forums, Lone Wolf Acrtivites forum. I have a few tutorials there. If not post and someone will answer you. My guys are getting real good. Also www.train-sim.com forums are a good source for information.

I tried to right click, but most of the options in the list are greyed out. Are there any third party tools that do a better job than MSTS editor?
