I just purchased this software on ebay and am having a problem installing it. After I load the first disk, a note comes up saying, "insert disk 2 with cab.dat file. I insert the disk, it shows the file is there, but then when I click ok it says file or pathway not found. Any ideas?

Hi Randy,

Are you sure you do have the original copies of trainZ,

One of our fellow at the railroad club had the same problem.

When we put the disk next to each other we found that his disk were almost exact replica of the original but there must be a special sector on the original disk that is not copied to replica. when I loaded the software from my disc to his computer there was no glitch.

That's the bad thing about ebay. You don't know if it's original or a copy. Could've got it at wal-mart best buy,etc. for 20 bucks.

If it's an original disc and you got from a legitimate seller on ebay,exchange it. If it's a copy you couldn't register it anyway(Auran won't allow it) which would deny you access to the download station. This has happened to a few other people who got trainz from ebay. Basically they were out whatever they spent to get the game.
