Train Sim from file

Hi there,
I am interested in any train sim software that is capable of simulating a train journey using stats (e.g. time, speed) defined in an external file. Does anybody know of a piece of sim software which can do this?
Alternatively, using any available train sims, does anybody know how I could access/edit a trains speed outside the simulation. I have built a small application to simulate keystrokes to control the train, however it is unable to tell the speed at which the train is running.
I would be grateful for any help
- Ian

Hello Forsey, and Welcome to Trains Forums!
Here is a
great
train simulation demo:
http://www.strategyfirst.ca/downloads/demos/UTC_Demo_405.zip . HTTp:www.strategyfirst.com , is a gaming site.
Download to your desktop, and open the file. Then follow the prompts, and read the instructions. I'm sure what your looking for will be found.
You can run the trains, program the trains to run by script, create your on route, and see if you like before you buy.
By the way the new payware version will be available within the next month. Here is the new website http://www.auran.com/TRS2006/index.php .
