When I try to start up Train Sim in Windows 98 it starts to load and it wants to send an error message to Microsoft. Whats up with this? if you hit "Don't Send" the system dies a slow and painful death. Keep in mind the pc it's on dosen't have internet.

One thing that comes to mind (triggered by your comment that your PC doesn't have an internet connection) is the possibility that, toward the end of the installation process, I think I remember a screen giving you the option of registering your copy of the software on-line immediately at that point. Maybe some option button got left with that selection turned "on" and your copy of MSTS is trying to do some sort of an "E.T. Phone Home" number to try to register itself every time you start it up. If it can't find or make an active internet connection to Microsoft's website, maybe that's the cause of your problem. Just a thought.
