With a great deal of effort, we as Trainz Enthusiasts have Radio Chatter, yes actual railroad radio chatter .These use a revised "Play A Sound File" Driver Command by pitkin. Thanks pitkin for your hard work on the gs files. The file names are:1) BNSF / UP Radio Chatter: consists of 13 files each approx. 3 min longDownload is 6.06mb (small with as many wav files)Three locations were recorded: Nebraska (UP), Washington (BNSF), and Denver Colorado (UP and BNSF) Radio Signals2) CSX / NS Radio Chatter: consists of 14 files each approx. 3 min longDownload is 5.53mb (small with as many wav files)Three locations were recorded: Central Ohio (CSX and NS - my home area as well), Harrisburg Pennsylvania (NS), and Decatur Alabama (CSX and NS) Radio Signals.Instructions on How To Use this new Driver Command Per Request:When creating a New Session (Trusted and Tested):A) Edit Driver CommandsB) Check either BNSF / UP Radio Chatter or CSX / NS Radio ChatterC) Edit Driver Set-UpD) Select "Play Radio Chatter - submenu file ?????" and you should see the following driver command icon When making them available in an existing session ( intermintent functionality )A) Edit Driver CommandsB) Check either BNSF / UP Radio Chatter or CSX / NS Radio ChatterC) In Driver Mode or Surveyor (Editing Driver Set-Up)Select "Play Radio Chatter - submenu file ?????" and you should see the following driver command icon
My recommendation, please set these apart in regards to time between the next driver command so they do not overlap (sounds crappy ).Yes, they work in TRS2004 and TRS2006 (only tested in TRS2006).They have been uploaded as of 9/13/07.
You can download the files here.
