Kids are welcome- come watch the Pokey!

We have a bed-and-breakfast right on the "Pokey" ((Norfolk-Southern's Pocahontas line) in Landgraff, WV, and kids are always welcome. Bring the family and watch the trains from our patio, balcony or your room (we have a "Family Suite" of two adjoining rooms that overlooks the tracks), explore the area, take pictures or videos (it's really pretty now up in the mountains during "leaf-peeping season") or just "hang out" by the fireplace or have a bubble bath in one of our antique claw-foot tubs! (We have one bathroom with two claw-foot tubs that kids often call the "Cowboy Bathroom" from a scene in the movie Maverick). We have sat TV, videos and kids books (including all of Harry Potter!).
We're having a Railfan Weekend, Friday Oct 22 - Sunday Oct 24, including 2 nights at the Inn with Continental Breakfast each morning, "Welcome" appetizers on Friday evening, a buffet dinner in our dining room Saturday evening, and late (2p.m.) checkout Sunday. The cost: $250/per room (max two people/room); the "Family Suite" for both nights, with appetizers and dinner for four is $350.
You can click on the "railfan" link on our website http://www.elkhorninnwv.com to see our railfan pages, with photos taken from the Inn and in the area by Elkhorn Inn guests and friends.
The Elkhorn Inn, an historic Inn on the "West Virginia Coal Heritage Trail", was built in 1900 as the Empire Coal and Coke Company Miner's Clubhouse. We're on Route 52 in Landgraff, 30 minutes from Bluefield WV/Va. There are fun things to do for "non-railfan spouses" including ATVing (we can arrange ATV rental and guided ATV tours), fishing, hiking, golf, and antiquing in Bluefield- there's a mall there, too! We can also arrange "spa days" at the Glade Springs Spa.
Please call us (Dan & Elisse Clark) at 1-800-708-2040 to reserve your room for this fun weekend event.
Hope to welcome you to the Elkhorn Inn![:)]
