Does anyone make a Thomas the Tank Engine HO model that I can run on my layout for my 2-yr-old grandson? He's nuts about Thomas.

The English firm Hornby makes Thomas and several other engines. I think they may be advertised in Model Railroader. They are not fully HO compatible as the wheels are a fraction of an in too narrow and the flanges a bit deeper -- they may bump a bit on your switches.

Yes, I have the HO Thomas for my four year old. I have only run it on a test track, so I don't know how it will perform at switches. I purchased it for about $50 at a Greenburg train show in my town. The back of the box lists the following other train cars/engines/etc.
R351 Thomas the Tank Engine
R350 Percy
R105 Tidmouth Milk Tank
R107 Open Wagon
R108 Closed Van
R109 Brake Van
R110 Annie
R112 Clarabel
R220 Tunnel
R224 Station
R226 Water Tower
R227 Signal Box
R228 Signals
R229 Engine Shed
R230 Goods Shed
R232 Footbridge
I also recall seeing a 'Gordon' engine at the same place. Incidently, my son is wild about trains as well, but I cultivate this a bit as you can imagine. Good Luck - Ed
