Foam Scenery

  • I'm doing a real layout this year. Years past it was build it before christmas and pack it away after christmas. The typical christmas train garden situation. So this year I have a house of my own (Along with wife of course) and a layout I can leave built for months / years. I'm trying to do scenery with foam and I wanted to get input from people who have done it before.

  • I NOTICE LITTLE INTEREST IN YOUR FORUM SO I`DE SUGGEST GOING TO THE HOBBY PRESS. I DON`T HAVE MY OWN PLACE AND I`VE JUST USED OLD METHODS IN MY LAYOUTS. THE NEW(RELATIVLY) FOAM USAGES ARE THE BETTER,MORE LITEWIEGHT METHOD OF SENERY AND ROADBED. FROM WHAT I`VE READ IT`S MUCH EASIER THAN SPLINE OR PLYWOOD!

You need to check out the Model Railroads forum, go to forum index and then go to Model Railroads, General Discussions and to Layouts and Scenery, there have been several postings and topics on this very subject. FYI.

       Have fun with your trains
