Working on posting a picture

  • Copy and paste seems to work.

Edit:  Now when I go to Edit  I get a change in the heading and the picture is highly magnified.

Edit:  Although the picture hasn't changed here.

That's a very short strip of water for a float plane.

I hope you all have patience with an old guy.

     Let's see if this works.

    Photo looks good to me.

It seems the forum software automatically scales photo links. Some sites I upload photos to require you to manually resize the photo to, say, 900 pixels wide.

Since MR simply redirects the URL to another hosting site, THAT hosting site's constraints are what matter.

    Glad it worked for you.

  • That picture looks fine to me.Smile

  • Very nice. I like the train and the scenery.

  • Your picture looks great, and even better when I click on it.  Another click, and it's so big that I have to scroll, up and down and side-to-side, to inspect it all.

If you don't mind telling us, where do you have the photo stored, so that it can be placed here with a simple copy and paste? (and get the successive enlargements, too?)

    It is posted at https://i.imgur.com/52JnWVE.jpg

You find that oput by right clicking on the enlarged photo and select "copy Image Location.

Maybe it works on the forum version too, I sdo not know, but on may forums it will not.

Making it enlarge like that is a function of your browser. You can click on any image posted here and see the original image. See. Click above.

And since that is still reduced somewhat from the original, you can click over any place on that photo to see it inits original size.

  • I forgot to thank everone for the nice compliments. Thanks all.

    OK,

I dumped Photobucket and now it's taking me a while to learn Imgur.

I was able to add a picture and get it to enlarge by enlarging the file picture once and then copying and paste.

    Cheers

  • I sent you a pm earlier on how to get a link to post your pic directly from imgur after your earlier post was deleted, at your request.

I don't know how it happens but some people manage to post postage stamp size pictures that don't enlarge.  Yours look fine.

It is a matter of ediquate. : )

In days past when all was slow, it was rude to post a big picture that would take a long time to download.

So, you can reduce the size of your photo so that it will zip right in. You can even get a Windows add in so that you can do it right from your photo directory without opening a photo program to resize things manually.

And sometimes you just want a SMALL photo...
