Every year we vacation in the Smoky Mountains. And every year we try to take an
excursion on the Great Smoky Mountain RR. Well this past spring when we went,
we visited Smoky Mountain Trains, which is ajacent to, but not afilliated with the GSMR's
Bryson City NC depot. I was very impress with this facility. In their museam they have a
collection of 7000 Lionel engines, cars, and accessories. And a huge 24' x 45' Lionel layout.
I noticed that it was not listed in the "tourist rairoads/museum" link on Trains.com's
website. My question is were you aware of this facility ( I believe it is fairly new) and
maybe you could add it to your list. Also, I was wondering if anyone else reading this has had
a chance to vist Smoky Mountain Trains or GSMR. You can visit their website at
www.smokymtntrains.com/
Thanks Dave
