Please Help! Need Photos of Santa Fe Yellow/Blue "Warbonnets....

  • I am seeking some good pics of some locos for Santa Fe Yellow/Blue "Warbonnet". I am searching for any loco styles, but am especially wanting to get some of the GE B23-7, B36-7, Dash 8-40B, and other new style locos with the Yellow/Blue "Warbonnnet" scheme

I am also seeking photos of the same Santa Fe Yellow/Blue "Warbonnet" locos, but with the BNSF "patch" added too the loco. I've tried searching for pics, but can't find anything of interest.

By the way, does anyone know which of the Yellow/Blue "Warbonnets" had the BNSF "Patch" added to the locos?

As well, any pics of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Merger Scheme Warbonnet- Cream/Green?

    Thanks for your helpSmile [:)]

  • try a search on www.railpictures.net. search for ATSF SD40-2s or SD45s. some other units may have worn that scheme too. i know some of the older GEs did. like the C30-7s i believe the warbonnets are just the red and silver ones and the colors you refer to are called "yellowbonnets" or "freightbonnets". i made the same mistake too though. it's easy to make. but i thought i'd give ya a heads up on it

the patched freightbonnets you refer to are now every ex ATSF freightbonnet out there. you should be able to find pics on railpictures of some of ther remaining GP60s, SD40-2s, etc.

and the cream BN colored one you refer to is also known as the "vomit bonnet". type that into the keywords section and several images should be displayed. someone else here is bound to know the unit's number though or the numbers of the remaining freightbonnets too. hope that helps
