DRGW 5371

  • Hey!

UP isn't going to patch this good T-motor of the DRGW!!! But it will remain in Utah. It WILL NOT be in Helper as Kevin Morgan has reported in the drgw.ws news update that I receive, but at least it isn't patched!!! Also.. its being reassigned to "the Wendover Turn (LEU50/LEU51), which departs out of Roper, UT and runs approximately 120 miles to Wendover, UT..." -Kevin Morgan

  • This was a win-win situation for UP's president.A, you don't have to waste money on a locomotive that your not expecting to be around much longer. B, You make a lot of Railfans/foamers happy so it will cancel out something later (Like patching CNW 8646 and 8701Wink [;)]).

  • tch. that wont distract the railfans, just the DRGW railfans. that's not UP's style. if they want something patched, they just do it. why should they care about railfans? and they WOULD dare patch 8701 and 8646 if it was high enough on theirlist of priorities. but... i wouldnt be that upset if the duo fell. i'm a CNW railfan, but good lord dash 9s are just ugly machines....

This was just an added benefit for UP.
