NORTH AMERICAN TRAIN ATLAS

  • i am a railroad enthusiast and i am interested in studying the mainlines throughout the united states. If anybody has any information on how i can obtain a current north american freight train atlas please contact me

    If you are looking for an online map, I have not found one. Several States do have them-

    Georgia               Illinois               Iowa               Kansas          Maine          Minnesota          Missouri             Montana         Nebraska         New Jersey          North Carolina         Oregon               South Dakota     Tennessee (pg 13)   Wisconsin 

    BNSF has a terrific online map, click on the division you want-

    It is worth joining RRpicturearchives (free) to use their online tonnage map.

    There are a number of railroad atlases available. Rand McNally no longer publishes an RR atlas.
