  • I rode the Platte Valley trolley (diesel powered) and visited the Forney Transporation Museum in Denver. The Forney Museum is home to one of the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotives.

  • I went to the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, and Railtown in Jamestown. You can't find better railroad museums ANYWHERE.

  • It was a great training summer! First I rode from Rocky Mount,NC to NYP, spent some time in The Big Apple, then rode south in a sleeper to Savannah,GA to see my mom.
Next I rode from Rocky Mount to Toronto via NYP again. The run from NYP to TWO is spectacular. The Hudson River, the Erie Canal, the St. Lawerence seaway and then the prairies of Canada.
Finally, I visited the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer. A very nice collection of rolling stock and other apparatus in an old roundhouse.
