I posted a similar question on the model railroader forum and was told it might be better posted here.
I am trying to find pictures of MoPac coal cars that I remember from the 80s. They were at least in the 100 ton category and were painted solid black with a small eagle herald on the side. I have one phot in a book, but it is too small to be of much help.
I have researched these hoppers on every web site I could think of and have come up short. Most all 100 ton hoppers were box car (oxide) red. I think these hoppers had 5 gates underneath if I count them right in the photo.
If anyone out there knows about these cars or has photos that they would be willing to share, I would certainly appreciate it.
